This is not your typical old house! Built in 1930 for the local doctor, this solidly built Colonial has had only three owners and has been meticulously maintained by each of them. An entry foyer with an impressive staircase welcomes you to hardwood floors, custom moldings, generously sized rooms and tons of storage. The expansive living room features a fireplace and beautiful built-ins. The formal dining room, with picture frame wainscoating, is perfect for family and special dinners. The beautifully updated kitchen has granite counters, stainless appliances, including an electric double-oven range, and a pantry. The extra-wide breakfast bar separates it from the eating area where you'll find a slider overlooking the backyard. The doctor's former office is now a spacious family room with its own separate entrance, a cathedral ceiling, impressive built-in shelving and a large Palladian window. Updated baths feature all-new fixtures and hardware plus a freshly tiled tub surround. Spend summers on the 14x19 screened porch with a big-screen TV and views of the backyard. Upstairs you'll find surprisingly large bedrooms. The master has two walk-in closets and the built-in storage on this floor is both charming and functional. The walk-up, floored attic is great for storage and offers an opportunity for a playroom, craft area, gym or office. It's not just a pretty face-updates were also done to electrical, heating, plumbing and water systems.
